This is a beautiful book for young children. Actually knowing the author, a German lady who now resides on the Valencian coast in Spain, I was told about the ideas for this book before they actually came to fruit on paper. The book is the first part of a series so would make a lovely present. I think it would be good either as a bedtime storybook, which adults would read to their children or as a book for early readers. The illustrations are very cute as well.

These books about Brummi Bear are just perfect for a child. They are just that little bit different and the bear really comes to life. Try reading one to your child and see what the reaction is.

The baby bear Brummi and his friends make a long trip in a box, leaving their home in china to find a new one. They travel by truck, ship and train to their final destination, a big department store in Germany. Because of his curiosity, Brummi experience many adventures along the way.

After waiting such a long time Brummi finally found a mother and a wonderful new place where he felt home immediately. But many things happens and he has to learn a lot. The German language causes him some concern and he doesn’t like personal hygiene. Will he masters everything in the country with the funny name Germany?
